Sensory Landscapes: Digital Design Methods and the Cultural Ecology of Urban EnvironmentsThis research explores the evolving relationship between landscape and architecture in the context of urban transformation and climate adaptation, with a particular focus on resilience and sustainability.
Inspired by the gardens and landscapes of Kyoto as a cultural and artistic paradigm, we explore how traditional spatial practices can influence contemporary design through their dynamic interactions between people, space and environment.
Through the use of advanced digital design methods and spatial capture technologies, the aim is to improve the precision and sensory depth of spatial experiences. It will also explore how audiovisual tools and data-driven techniques can connect built environments with their physical and social contexts to foster new dialogues between cultural heritage, modern urban life and adaptive ecological systems. Central to this inquiry is the belief that design must emerge from a tangible, responsive relationship between proportion, form, function, and construction.

この研究では、都市の変容と気候への適応という文脈の中で、特にレジリエンスと持続可能性に焦点を当てながら、ランドスケープと建築の進化する関係を探求する。
文化的・芸術的パラダイムとしての京都の庭園や景観に触発され、伝統的な空間実践が、人・空間・環境のダイナミックな相互作用を通して、現代のデザインにどのような影響を与えることができるかを探求する。
先進的なデジタルデザイン手法と空間キャプチャ技術の活用により、空間体験の精度と感覚的な奥行きの向上を目指す。また、オーディオビジュアル・ツールやデータ駆動型技術によって、構築された環境を物理的・社会的コンテクストとどのように結びつけ、文化遺産、現代の都市生活、適応的な生態系システムとの間に新たな対話を育むことができるかを探求する。この探求の中心は、デザインは、比率、形、機能、構造の間の具体的で応答的な関係から生まれなければならないという信念である。
